Inivos is a trusted, UK-based service provider with over a decade of expertise in delivering world-class infection control and decontamination technologies and solutions. Expanding its proven ProXcide range, Inivos introduces ProXcide Mini, a compact, portable bio-decontamination device designed specifically for small, enclosed spaces such as biosafety cabinets, incubators, pass-through hatches, and isolators.

These clean air devices are essential in controlled environments, yet their size and limited accessibility have made effective bio-decontamination a persistent problem. If left unaddressed, these risks can compromise the integrity of contamination control strategies. At less than 20 cm in height and delivering a Log-6 performance, the ProXcide Mini provides the smallest solution to this significant bio-decontamination challenge.

What is ProXcide Mini?

The ProXcide Mini is powered by Inivos’ patented hydrogen peroxide vapour (HPV) technology, engineered to deliver both bespoke and parametric (automatic) cycles. The unit monitors hydrogen peroxide vapour concentration and relative humidity within the space, providing accurate and reliable bio-decontamination, achieving a Log-6 bioburden reduction.

For application-specific requirements, the system facilitates robust gas cycle development. This allows authorised users to define, optimise, and lock validated parameters into specific cycle recipes, ensuring a consistent, effective, and audit-ready sporicidal process. After, the system aerates the space, removes all residual hydrogen peroxide and automatically generates process reports to support traceability.

What are ProXcide Mini’s other features?

The ProXcide Mini is fully battery-powered and rechargeable, offering true portability. Its intuitive interface is designed with both security and usability in mind, with users benefiting from password protection and defined access levels for both administrators and operators. This supports a facility’s CFR 21 Part 11 compliance. Once parameters are configured, the unit can be remotely started, allowing operators to safely initiate cycles from outside the treatment space.

The Mini has been designed for easy, user-serviced maintenance. The hydrogen peroxide cartridge easily clicks into place, providing enough solution for two cycles. A removable carbon filter aids rapid deactivation, while the injection cassette and rechargeable batteries are designed to be easily swapped out. With these easily replaceable parts, there’s no need to send the unit back for maintenance, allowing customers to perform quick and simple upkeep on-site.

The ProXcide Mini integrates seamlessly into cleanrooms and laboratories without the need for modifications, with its flexible design suited to a wide range of devices and applications. Combined with its rapid cycle times, the ProXcide Mini can reduce downtime, maintain operational efficiency and support GMP Annex 1 compliance.

With its compact design, powerful performance, and regulatory-ready features, the ProXcide Mini sets a new standard for small-chamber bio-decontamination. To schedule a free demo to see it in action, visit our website at inivos.com or contact Ian Morren directly at ian.morren@inivos.com.
