Meet Jason Bock

Jason is Co-founder and CEO of CTMC, a joint venture created by MD Anderson Cancer Center and Resilience to accelerate the development and manufacturing of cell therapies for cancer. Located within walking distance of MD Anderson, CTMC was designed to bring clinical insight, process development, GMP manufacturing, analytics, regulatory strategy, and biotech partnership closer together from the earliest stages of development.

Since its launch in 2022, CTMC has supported a growing portfolio of cell therapy programs, including TIL, CAR T, and natural killer cell approaches. Under Jason’s leadership, the organization has cleared ten INDs with collaborators, manufactured hundreds of GMP batches, and helped move programs into first-in-human testing. One example is Obsidian’s OBX-115 engineered TIL therapy, where CTMC and MD Anderson supported the initial IND and clinical translation. For Jason, the aim is to build the product and process foundations needed for therapies to scale beyond early academic success.

“Today, the industry often treats discovery, process development, clinical translation, manufacturing, and commercialization as sequential steps. For complex biologics and especially cell therapies, that model is too slow. The future will be more iterative. We will design the product and the process together. We will use richer analytics to understand the relationship between starting material, manufacturing conditions, product attributes, and clinical outcomes. We will use digital systems and AI not as buzzwords, but as tools to connect development decisions across the full lifecycle.”
