Meet John Wilson

John is Founder and CEO of ScaleReady and a long-standing innovator in cell and gene therapy manufacturing. Through Wilson Wolf, he developed the G-Rex cell culture platform, now widely used across clinical and commercial cell therapy manufacturing, including in five approved CGT products. In 2020, he launched ScaleReady as a joint venture with Bio-Techne and Fresenius Kabi to provide integrated manufacturing solutions built around technologies including G-Rex, Lovo, Cue, and specialized reagents.

Wilson’s approach has always been practical: make cell therapy manufacturing simpler before trying to make it bigger. His experience spans not only manufacturing technology, but also company creation through AlloVir, Marker Therapeutics, CellReady, Wilson Wolf, and ScaleReady. Across these ventures, his focus has remained consistent: stripping unnecessary complexity from cell therapy production so developers can spend less time building infrastructure and more time generating the clinical data needed to move therapies forward.
