Meet Phil Vanek

Phil has spent his career at the interface of technology, manufacturing, commercialization, and cell and gene therapy adoption. Across roles at Life Technologies, BD, Lonza, GE Healthcare, and now Gamma Biosciences, he has helped bring new tools and technologies to market while supporting the infrastructure needed to make advanced therapies more scalable and reliable.

At Gamma Biosciences, Phil guides technology strategy and investment across companies developing bioprocessing tools for advanced therapies, biologics, and vaccines. He also serves as Chief Commercialization Officer for ISCT, representing the society’s industry community and helping shape its visibility and growth strategy. Through advisory roles with organizations including CCRM, ARM, the Creative Destruction Lab, and the Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult’s Technology Advisory Board, Phil continues to influence the manufacturing, commercialization, and adoption agenda for the wider CGT field.
