Meet Harold Keer

Harold joined Taiho Oncology as Chief Medical Officer in January 2024, bringing more than 25 years of drug development experience across industry and academia. A physician-scientist, he previously held senior clinical development roles at Astex Pharmaceuticals, Five Prime Therapeutics, Exelixis, and Titan Pharmaceuticals, helping advance oncology programs from early development through regulatory milestones.

Most recently, Harold served as Chief Medical Officer at Astex, where his work included leading development activities that supported the approval of INQOVI for myelodysplastic syndromes in the US and Canada, and INAQOVI for acute myeloid leukemia in the EU and UK. At Taiho, he is now helping guide clinical development across solid tumors and hematologic malignancies, with a focus on translating oncology science into treatment options that can reduce burden for patients.
