Meet Jane Rhodes

Jane joined AstronauTx as CEO in 2024, bringing more than 25 years of experience across neuroscience, drug development, corporate strategy, and biotech leadership. With a background in pharmacology, physiology, and neurophysiology, she has held senior roles at Biogen, Forma Therapeutics, and Verge Genomics, contributing to programs across neurological disease and wider drug development.

At AstronauTx, Jane is working to advance a small molecule approach to Alzheimer’s disease and other neurological disorders by targeting sleep architecture as a modifiable driver of brain health. Under her leadership, the company has sharpened its translational strategy, strengthened its leadership team, and expanded its scientific footprint through an MRC-funded partnership exploring whether enhancing slow-wave sleep can modify Alzheimer’s disease progression.

“My intrinsic drive has always been to use my skills to try and impact the lives of patients, with a particular focus on serving those with neurological disease. I have been fortunate to have many opportunities to grow and advance in my career beyond the lab bench. I think it was Pasteur who said ‘fortune favors the prepared,’ so working hard, being curious, and not being intimidated by the unknown has certainly helped.”
