Meet Mollie Leoni

Mollie joined Kura Oncology in 2020 and became Chief Medical Officer in January 2025, following a series of clinical development leadership roles at the company. With more than 15 years of drug development experience across oncology and orphan diseases, she has helped guide Kura’s work in targeted therapies for difficult-to-treat cancers.

Most notably, Mollie led the clinical development of ziftomenib, approved by the FDA in November 2025 as Komzifti for adults with relapsed or refractory NPM1-mutated acute myeloid leukemia who have no satisfactory alternative treatment options. She has also played a central role in shaping the broader clinical program, including combination studies and expansion into earlier treatment settings, while supporting Kura’s global partnership with Kyowa Kirin, announced in late 2024.
