President, Pharvaris
Peng joined Pharvaris as Chief Medical Officer in February 2020 and now serves as President, leading research and development as well as commercial functions. She brings more than 20 years of experience across protein therapeutics and small molecule development, including prior roles at Roche/Genentech, AbbVie, Shire, and Takeda.
At Takeda/Shire, Peng helped lead the global development of TAKHZYRO for the prevention of hereditary angioedema attacks. At Pharvaris, she is now advancing deucrictibant, an investigational oral bradykinin B2 receptor antagonist for bradykinin-mediated angioedema. In 2025, the company reported topline data from RAPIDe-3 in the on-demand treatment of HAE attacks, while Peng continues to lead late-stage programs including CHAPTER-3, CHAPTER-4, and CREAATE, the first randomized trial in acquired angioedema due to C1 inhibitor deficiency.
“Progress in rare diseases is never the result of a singular milestone alone, but rather a series of disciplined steps. The data from our on-demand program provides evidence of deucrictibant’s potentially clinically differentiated profile, supporting the potential impact it could have on the bradykinin-mediated angioedema community. It is rewarding to see those efforts come together as we prepare for the next stage of our journey.”
