Cell and gene therapies are now considered mainstream therapeutic modalities – an integral part of today’s treatment triumvirate along with small and large molecules. But that certainly hasn’t always been the case. I’ve been speaking with leaders from the International Society for Cell and Gene Therapy about their experiences of the early days of advanced medicine.
