Timothy began his career in academia and worked his way up to Chief of the Division of Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology at the University of Pittsburgh – and was awarded an endowed Professorship in 1998. He has previously worked in clinical development at Pfizer and Novartis, and also serves as a scientific advisor to several organizations, including the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
