Rodger is one of the three co-founders of CRISPR Therapeutics, which aims to treat diseases using CRISPR/Cas9 gene editing technology. In 2019, the company announced positive interim safety and efficacy data in their ongoing CTX001 clinical trials, a CRISPR/Cas9 therapy for β-thalassemia and sickle cell disease, as well as advancing their first allogeneic CAR T cell therapy targeting CD19+ malignancies.
