Celebrating the final day of CPhI Europe

It’s the dawn of the final day and unfortunately the rain has decided to stick around. Despite the weather, I hope you’ve had vibrant conversations and formed new partnerships. I’ve had many interesting conversations around sustainability. More and more companies have EcoVadis certification and some companies are even making their booths out of recyclable materials. Sustainability is no longer “nice to have” – but a business must, as more and more companies begin to scrutinize the sustainability strategies of their partners and suppliers.

Another hot topic has been GLP-1s, but there are concerns that other peptides are getting left behind in terms of capacity. I’ll be conducting interviews on this topic today and I look forward to publishing more content in this area. If you’d like to talk about peptides post-show, then drop me an email: [email protected].

The Medicine Maker booth is located in the media hub in Hall 4 (between D105 and F94). I’ll be busy zooming around the different halls, but if you stop by our booth feel free to grab a copy of the magazine for your trip home! Key features in the latest issue include views on the future of the pharma industry and an article on generic drug manufacturing at Civica Rx. We also have The Medicine Maker branded pens and stickers (while stocks last!).

Thought of the Day

“When you talk with investors, the first discussion is typically financial in nature. We aren’t a non-profit organization, so finances are definitely important! But I also believe in giving back. We want to create fun jobs for our employees. We want to give back to the region by creating jobs here. And we want to give back to the planet.”

If you have free time after the event then there is much to see in the city. As a lover of football (or soccer), I would be tempted to visit the Stadio San Siro (Stadio Giuseppe Meazza), the largest stadium in Italy and home of two giants of the game, AC Milan and Inter Milan – fierce local rivals!
