Continued Education

Pfizer has launched online educational resources to support teachers, parents, and carers in providing continued STEM education to children in the UK, during the pandemic (1). The free resources, Superbugs: Join the Fight (developed in collaboration with the UK’s National Schools Partnership) and Science in a Box, aim to introduce children to pharmaceutically relevant topics.

Superbugs: Join the Fight consists of e-learning materials that teach children how the spread of infections can be controlled, and the importance of antibiotics and vaccines in disease prevention. Science in a Box uses puzzles and e-learning modules to introduce children to the drug development process. Pfizer has also released new content focusing on viruses and pandemics to help give children a better understanding of the COVID-19 crisis.

After finishing my degree, I envisioned a career in science communications. However, life took an unexpected turn and I ended up teaching abroad. Though the experience was amazing and I learned a great deal from it, I jumped at the opportunity to work for Texere. I'm excited to see where this new journey takes me!
