Flow Chemistry and Nanotechnology Shine at Achema Day 3

There’s a lot to choose from in today’s Achema schedule. The Flow Chemistry Symposium kicks off in Hall 8.1 (Symmetrie 3), with presentations taking place all day and continuing into Thursday. Achema organizers promise “compelling case studies and best practices focusing on the breakthrough capabilities of continuous manufacturing technology.”

Also taking place today is day two of the International Powder and Nanotechnology Forum, which will focus on pharmaceutical process engineering and materials, and drug delivery systems with nanotechnology.

There’s plenty of other sessions to consider too. We’ve included suggestions below.

Tomorrow's Planner

If you’re an engineer, technical specialist, or manager that has been pondering your next career step, Achema’s Career Day might help. There will be a job board, individual career counselling, and the opportunity to find out more directly from companies. Career Day will take place in Foyer 5.1 and 6.1 from 10:00.

Aprés-Sci

Looking for somewhere to relax after the show? According to Time Out, one of the best bars in Frankfurt is Naïv, described as a “Beer lover’s dream.” Some other suggestions include Waxy’s Irish Pub, 22nd Lounge & Bar (panoramic views), The Kinly Bar (cocktails and beer), Bockenheimer Weinkontor (wine), Logenhaus (gin), and Hunky Dory Bar (cocktails).

Thought of the Day

“The shortage of new talent entering the pharma industry is being influenced by numerous factors, including the appeal of alternative emerging fields such as tech, or the desire to stay in academia to pursue further ambitions in teaching and research. It’s important for pharma companies to  create a positive reputation in the industry for employees, and provide career development opportunities"

Mary Christensen, Global Manager, Talent Acquisition, at Sterling Pharma Solutions. Read more here
