George Scangos

George’s claim to fame is that he created the first transgenic mouse as a young postdoc. Before joining Bayer in 1987, George was a professor of biology at Johns Hopkins University for six years, where he is still an adjunct professor. In March 2016, he was elected Chairman of the Board of Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA).
