Pivotal moment
“First, I made a simple call to a small pharma manufacturer in Lexington Kentucky that launched my pharma career. Second, in 2006 I was asked to join PhRMA to develop and head their international regulatory affairs program, which was an amazing opportunity that set the stage for developing many long-lasting relationships with national regulatory authorities. Third, going to the FDA was an amazing experience. And finally, heading up Rx-360 – I have always strived to do something entrepreneurial, and this is it.”
Predictions
“I believe that we will see rapid expansion of regulatory controls over upstream suppliers and downstream distribution channels. However, I think we will also see increased uptake in global harmonization of these requirements. Globalization has forced regulatory bodies to take a hard look at global collaboration as an essential mechanism to do their jobs domestically. Foundational to all of this appears to me that transparency is at the forefront of all of these efforts.”
