Peter Seeberger

Director at the Max-Planck Institute for Colloids and Interfaces, and Professor, Free University of Berlin, Germany

Peter’s research covers a broad range of topics from engineering to immunology, and has been documented in over 380 peer-reviewed journal articles, more than 35 patents, and more than 680 invited lectures. He says, “One of achievements I’m most proud of is the development of the automated glycan assembly platform. This is the basis for the creation of novel fully synthetic carbohydrate vaccines against malaria and bacterial infections, as well as diagnostics to rapidly and reliably detect infections, allergies and auto-immune diseases.”
