“In our research on non-invasive drug delivery across the body’s major epithelial barriers (gut, skin and lung), often based on nanotechnology, we could make some significant progress with human cell- and tissue-based in vitro models.” Claus-Michael believes that such models could be “instrumental” for translating new medicines into clinics.
