George has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Daiichi Sankyo Co., Ltd. since June 2010. He joined the former Daiichi group as President of Daiichi Suntory Pharma Co., Ltd. upon the spin-off of the Pharmaceutical Division of Suntory Co., Ltd. in 2002. He earned a Master of Science degree from Osaka University in 1976 and an MBA from Northwestern University in 1979.
