Prior to Moderna, Stéphane was CEO of bioMérieux and he has also held leadership positions at Eli Lilly. He joined Moderna in 2011 and helped raise its financing, including the largest private biotech round in January 2015 at $500 million. Today, Moderna has 180 employees and agreements with AstraZeneca, Alexion and Merck.
