Sir Andrew graduated from the University of Nottingham, UK, in 1985, with a BA in Economics, and joined GlaxoSmithKline the same year. He was appointed CEO in 2008 – a position he held until April 1, 2017. He has served as Chancellor of the University of Nottingham since 2013.
